Philip Denwood is an enthusiast of the Dark Native honey bee Apis mellifera mellifera. He is a long term member of the Bee Improvement and Bee Breeders Association - BIBBA. Philip is editor of Bee Improvement magazine and compiled "The Honeybees of the British Isles" from the comprehensive notes that were made by Beowulf Cooper. This has become a classic beekeeping book and is considered to be the best of its type.
