This is the band that I have most experience of, and at various times I have used all modes except data.

For a time in the early 1980s I was the beacon keeper of GB3LE (RB4) some details of the early versions are available via the link. I was very active on that repeater at the time as I was young, single and often traveling by car.

Through the 1980s and the first half of the 1990s I used the band both simplex and via LE, on my journeys 'to' and 'from' my factory.

I have been inactive since 1995 when my manufacturing company went bankrupt. I hope at some time in the future to re-join the amateur community 'on air'.
